Meet the D'Oliveria Family Treasured TimeAlfredo D’Oliveria, 57 originally from Rio De Janiero, Brazil. Alfredo is a self made man. Over the last twenty years running his shoe shinning business, Alfredo has encountered countless people to whom he has provided legendary service. Alfredo was recently diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerolis (ALS). Also known as Lou Gehrigs Disease, ALS is a progressive neurological disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.

Alfredo and his wife, Dayse have two children who attend Naugatuck High School, Danielle, 17 and Jonathon, 16.

Alfredo’s life long wish is to take his family to Hawaii. It has been a dream of his for as long as he can remember. With the quick progression of ALS and how debilitating it can be so very early on it is his ALS representative Stacey as well as our thought that this trip needs to happen sooner rather than later.
