The Amours at Treasured TimeIn December 2015, Charlene Armour, age 54 from Bridgeport,CT was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia. Charlene had undergone various tests including for Lyme and lupus and had even been diagnosed with pneumonia until the doctors were able to confirm her diagnosis. 
Charlene received 37 days of straight chemo which ended in January of 2016, subsequently she ended of with neuropathy in her hands. After experiencing this initial course of treatment, Charlene changed her priorities and refocused her life. She ended up in treatment for a total of 247 days. Since then she has been in physical therapy twice a week and has joined a gym to try and get her body to feel normal again. 

As of November 2016, Charlene’s cancer was in remission. Charlene spends as much time with her husband Tom and her 16 year old daughter Ashley as she can. She has been cleared to go back to work but still has a long road to recovery ahead of her. While at this time her cancer is in remission the last year or so has been stressful on the entire family and Charlene would like the opportunity to spend some quality time with her family since the future is so unknown.
